Children are our future. With the world getting darker around us, it is vitally important, and our responsibility, to provide our children with a solid foundation in the Word of God. At GJBC, that foundation is built throughout each age level with the same emphasis as adults. Children are exposed to and taught the Word, beginning at the earliest age possible. Part of the vision of the Youth ministry is to equip the saints to go forth in the world as leaders, thoroughly established in the Word of God.
GJ Kings Kids provides loving and nurturing environments for infants, toddlers, and children through the age of 17 so that they can learn to hear God’s voice, know God, and know His purpose. Youth participate in Praise & Worship, prayer, story time, bible study, music, creative arts, camp outings, and many other fun-filled activities. They learn to memorize and recite scripture; know the doctrinal explanation of, and scripture reference for salvation, healing, prayer, prosperity, and faith; know details of Bible stories; know the application of leading someone to salvation; and they learn to know and become “occupied” with Jesus.
Our children are learning to live in victory so that they can go forth as lights in this world being used by God to break the power of darkness over the earth.
Our mission is to go out into all the world and raise up an army of young people through Jesus Christ that will fight against the immorality that is trying to plague the young people of this generation.
Who are we and what do we stand for?
- We are an army that will boldly speak about Jesus Christ and never back down, slow up, give up, or shut up.
- We are coming to take back a lost generation and restore the moral fabric to a society that has been slowly desensitized by the deception of the enemy.
- We are the advocates of change, and the administrators of justice.
- When it comes to living for Christ, We are Kings Kids. Come and join our army of the Lord!
History of the GJ King’s Kids Ministry
The GJ King’s Kids ministry began back in September of 2008 and was rebirthed in February 2010! This ministry was started under the commission of our Senior Pastor, Bishop Shelton C. Daniel, out of obedience to the Lord. God has truly given us a purpose and a call to reach the young people of South Rocky Mount, and raise up an Holy Army for the Lord.
We are not looking to “play church” or simply entertain young people, but to transform their minds and their lives through the power of the Gospel!
There is a process of transformation that is taking place, and the end result will be young people that will be witnesses for the Kingdom of God, not only with their speech but with their lifestyles.
We are honored to be in this position of influence where we can teach this generation how to truly represent as GJ King of kids.
